Coonawarra - wool and wine
The highways in Victoria are rougher than those in NSW but the views are just as good.
Sheep with a backdrop of redgums and the Grampians on the second day of winter.
A quick stop at Dunkeld and the war memorial, such an iconic part of every Australian country town, with the soldier - head bowed, arms reversed - before a beautiful row of pines.
There was a good frost on the ground as we set up in one of our favourite venues - Patrick's Cellar Door on the Riddoch Highway just north of Penola, looking out over a garden with the vineyards in the background.
Patricks are certainly doing their bit for renewable energy - check out the power plant on their roof.
We love coming to Coonawarra.
